You can seal the jar using some of the wax from the candle. Do so by lighting the candle, hold it at a slight tilt, and let the wax drip directly onto the seal or cork of your closed jar. Rotate the jar as you drip to create an even, overlapping layer of wax that covers all the edges.
Place it somewhere meaningful, at home, work, on your altar, or near your front door or back to keep evil away.
